In 1994, three artists met during a weaving seminar in Humboldt County. In 1998, a fourth artist joined the group and thus began a collaboration and friendship that has spanned fifteen years. Together Carolyn Jones, Dorothy Swendeman, Terri Tinkham and Vikki Young have created one-of-a-kind, hand-bound, signed limited-edition calendars. Separately, their art is as varied as their personalities. Transformations, their calendar for 2011 is the 16th in their series. Their story book HOOD was published last year and the 17th calendar (title tba) will be available in November 2012.

Northern California's redwood forests provide serenity and inspiration for the artists of Buttonwillow Studio
Buttonwillow Studio and Gift Shop are located in the Victorian Village of Ferndale, in Northern California's redwood country. Opened in December 2010 to the public as a working studio and small store, Buttonwillow was born from the diversity of works created by the artists of the original Fantastic Fibers collaboration.
